GUIDE

How to Cook With What You Have

A practical guide to turning a random fridge and pantry list into a meal.

Start by choosing one main ingredient and one filling base. For example, chicken + rice, beans + rice, or eggs + bread gives you a starting point.

Add one or two vegetables or flavour ingredients. Onion, garlic, tomatoes, herbs, soy sauce, curry powder or cheese can change the direction of the meal.

Choose a cooking method that fits the ingredients: stir-fry for rice/noodles, simmering for beans and tomatoes, baking for potatoes, and quick pan cooking for eggs or thinly sliced meat.

Use the ingredient finder when you have several ingredients but no recipe in mind. It ranks recipes by how many of your selected ingredients are tagged in the recipe.
